Recycled Fiber & Film
The Palma Series uses 100% recycled polyester fiber (rPET) and recycled film, reducing environmental impact without compromising performance. Challenge RUV™ film lasts 5x longer than traditional sail films, increasing UV resistance and longevity.
Non-Toxic Adhesive Technology
Uses a solvent-free, PFAS-free bonding process, eliminating harmful chemicals often used in traditional laminates. Industry-leading adhesion and weathering performance without the need for carbon offsets.
Energy-Efficient Manufacturing
Challenge’s eco-friendly production facilities are powered by hydroelectric energy, minimizing carbon footprint. Eliminates high-energy drying ovens and curing processes required by conventional laminates, reducing overall emissions.

Palma sails are built with a combination of Ultra PE (UHMWPE) fibers and recycled polyester (rPET), providing excellent shape retention, tear resistance, and longevity. These laminates feature taffeta on both sides for additional durability and UV protection.
